FRYSC Yearbooks

Another document that was published on an annual basis was the FRYSC Yearbook. These books usually included pictures of all the teams for that year. We are in the process of obtaining at least one copy from each year that a yearbook was published. If you have a yearbook from the 1970's or 1980's, please let me know.

FRYSC Presidents

Case Leenheer, organizer of the Fullerton Rangers men’s team in 1963, was the first Club President. In 1966 the Fullerton Rangers added its first youth team. In 1972 the number of youth teams doubled from 2 to 4 and began growing tremendously. As a result, in 1975 the Fullerton Rangers created the Youth Board to organize the growing population of youth players. Larry Gillette was the first president of the newly formed Fullerton Rangers Youth Board. By 1978 there were 1700 players on 120 teams. The Club has had generally 1400-2000 registered players annually since that time. Here is the list of Presidents over the years since the youth teams were added:

FRYSC Handbooks

The FRYSC started publishing Handbooks for its members in the late 70's. We are in the process of trying to obtain one copy for our historical files for each year they were published. A list will be added shortly.

Oldest Youth Soccer Club In Orange County

The Fullerton Rangers Soccer Club began in September 1963 when a group of men who wanted to play soccer organized a team and entered the Pacific Soccer League. The team selected the name “Fullerton Rangers” because several members of the team were Scottish and were devoted fans of the Rangers team from Glasgow, Scotland who played in the Scottish Premier League. Their home field was at Chapman Park.
