Signature Player Agreement2006-2007 FRYSC SIGNATURE TEAMS PARENT/PLAYER AGREEMENT We expect our players and parents to be ethical, honest and honor their commitments both verbal and written; therefore you should make your decisions thoughtfully and carefully. Once your commitment is made, the team expects your full participation and support during the entire soccer season. Take into account that when you make your commitment, the coaching staff may need to inform other potential players they did not make the team. Please be sensitive to others and consider your decision carefully. COMMITMENT: July 2006 through January 2007. TEAM/PLAYER OBJECTIVE: Our team’s first objective is to provide a positive environment for all team members to develop technically and intellectually into well-rounded soccer players. COACHING PHILOSOPHY: Every parent/player understands that our coaching staff’s philosophy is to work with all players towards a common goal of development. Development will be measured by the player’s growth, both on and off the field. Every player will learn about “character” and “heart” and will develop an understanding of the three D’s: Dedication, Discipline and Desire. It will be through experiencing these principles and overcoming “adverse, tough conditions” (on and off the field) that players will grow and ultimately develop their game. Through adhering to the principles stated above, every player will experience “winning” in its basic form. COACHING: Players will only be instructed by the coaching staff during practices and games. When a parent begins to coach a player from the sidelines, his or her child will be substituted immediately. The coach will remind the parent of our policy. Players and parents will not address field officials. The coaching staff will address field officials when necessary. Players should be at practice, ready to participate prior to the scheduled starting time. Each player is responsible for their own equipment (training shirt, balls, cleats, shin guards, water bottles, bag, etc.) at every practice and game. All players must bring their own water. All players are expected to arrive at all games one hour prior to kickoff. Tardiness could affect your playing time during the game. Any player that will not be attending a practice or game must contact the Team Coach prior to missing a practice or game. Missing practices and/or games may influence playing time during games. Financial requirements are the responsibility of each parent and player. All payments are to be made on a timely basis. Any questions or issues that a parent may have will be addressed directly to the Team Coach in a timely and appropriate manner. Please do not approach the coaching staff immediately following a game. The coaching staff will normally be available after practice sessions. Any questions or issues that a player may experience will be addressed directly to the Team Coach in a timely and appropriate manner. Please note: Players may contact any member of our coaching staff for assistance at any time. Nutrition and rest are also part of the player’s personal responsibility as a member of the FRYSC Signature Program. We expect our players eat nutritious, healthy food in a timely fashion so as not to interfere with performance. We recognize there are things more important in life than soccer. In terms of priority, family and school work come first. However, if the coaching staff feels you are not willing to put your soccer above other recreational activities during the season, it may affect your playing time and/or team status. The coaching staff expects our players to be committed to their team and individual skill development. This involves accepting and treating all teammates and coaches with courtesy and respect at all times. We expect all players to attend practices, games and team functions. Players are expected to give 100% effort at all practices and games. In fairness to our entire team, all players need to understand that practice and game time is not social time. Efforts will be made to provide team activities and social events throughout the season for our players. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and will affect your standing with the team! This commitment is for one season only. There is no guarantee that a player will play a specific position or more than the CYSA mandated amount of time during our games.
