Spring Comes To A Close

Printer-friendly version

FRYSC small sided spring soccer season has come to a close. Thank you to all the players families and relatives for participating in Spring Soccer. On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of the Fullerton Rangers we hope you enjoyed your season and will join us for Fall Soccer (registration now open) www.frysc.org.

Spring soccer involved some 78 teams, 5 venues, over 80 coaches in total and over 530 boys and girls participated from 4 to 16 years of age. In 7 weeks of the season we hosted over 222 games for recreational soccer players in Fullerton and had a tournament that from all reports was a nice way to end the season. Participation in the program from 2009 to 2010 increased over 60% and hopefully the program will continue to grow with your support.

Running in conjunction with small sided soccer The Rangers Academy Mentor Program (RAMP) in 2010 provided free soccer training by our Rangers Coaches. Over 1,100 kids participated in RAMP this Spring. These free sessions were run with the assistance of Our Ranger Club Program, CSUF women's soccer program and numerous volunteer coaches As you can imagine we are always in need of additional volunteers and donations to help us keep these programs running so please consider FRYSC as a recipient for your tax deductable donations.

The Spring Soccer Program wishes to thank

All our Volunteer Coaches

Thanks to all our volunteer coaches some who stepped up at the very last moment to help out. They dealt with changing schedules, moving players and had to contend with a lot of things Fall coaches get help with so thank you. See you next year!

Youth Soccer Coaches

Thanks to our very own Fullerton Rangers Club competitive team players who coached our youngest players. They brought a tremendous amount of experience as they play weekly and year round on the competitive soccer circuit in southern California at the very highest levels of the game. They coached over 20 teams altogether and it is through their efforts that we have been able to keep rosters small and insure maximum playing time which is so important for our youngest players. More information on competitive teams is available at www.fullertonrangers.com

Special thanks to our Field Marshalls

Arnold Carrillo at BSC, Andreas Saucedo at Byerum, Raymundo Valdez at Ford. Spring could would not have succeeded without their commitment and effort.
