RAMP was a blast tonight! It was sponsored by the CSUF Women's Soccer Program. All four Division 1 college coaches, three of which are Rangers Staff coaches, and 22 college players participated. The 150 plus kids had a good soccer experience as we were able to keep the small sided games to 4 v 4 or 5 v 5. We continue to have a strong turnout for the six and under age group. We were also able to provide 12 kids goalkeeping training, which was run by CSUF Goalkeeper Coach Brian Mason, a Rangers Staff coach, and two CSUF GKs. I encourage everyone to support CSUF and attend their game tomorrow vs. USC at 11:00 a.m. at Titan Stadium. It is free.
LAST RAMP OF THE SEASON
We have one more RAMP to go this Spring on Friday, April 30, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fullerton Sports Complex. We will be highlighting Rangers Director of Coaches Jimmy Obleda. We are set to exceed the 1,000 participants mark (for the first time) in RAMP this Spring with our last RAMP date.
FALL 2010
I am in discussions with CSUF Head Coach Demian Brown to do (our first ever) Fall RAMP date to kick off the Rangers and CSUF Fall seasons. I will keep you posted.
SPRING 2011
Coach Demian has agreed to host another RAMP training next Spring as well. I hope to make their involvement with RAMP a tradition.
The coaches, college women and kids had a lot of fun.
